As part of the university's commitment to economic development and outreach, CCTEC hosts a variety of events to create connections between the Cornell campuses, industry members, entrepreneurs, and investors. Startup Boot Camp

Startup Boot Camp is a one-day learning and networking event focused on the "dos and don'ts" of launching new technology ventures. The day will feature panels of entrepreneurs, investors, and technologists in life and physical sciences. A panel will also discuss legal, policy and operational issues. The event will culminate in a networking cocktail reception and dinner for registered attendees.
Mark your calendars now, the CCTEC Startup Boot Camp will be held on June 5th.

Cornell Technology Venture Forum (CTVF)

Each fall, CCTEC invites venture capitalists to a day long event highlighting exciting new businesses and technology being developed at Cornell. Cornell faculty from the Ithaca Campus and Cornell Weill Medical College are invited to present start up company business plans to potential investors while faculty with earlier stage technologies can present emerging opportunities with potential to be the basis for the launch a new start up.

CCTEC Showcase at the E@C Celebration

On April 11, CCTEC hosted key Cornell researchers to highlight selected exciting Cornell technologies and new business opportunities from the Ithaca campus and from the Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City during the third annual Entreprenuership@Cornell Celebration event. Entrepreneurship@Cornell Celebration is a milestone annual entrepreneurship event that brings together over 500 students, alumni, faculty and staff. CCTEC held two emerging technologies showcases on the second day of the event.

Seminar & Social Hour Series (S&S)

Building relationships on campus and beyond is important to CCTEC. In the spirit of professional networking, we host monthly seminars for MBA candidates from the Johnson School as well as other graduate level students with interests in business, entreprenuership and technology transfer. These events typically feature a presentation by a Cornell entrepreneur or inventor about a new business or emerging technology being developed at Cornell.

IP&Pizza Series

CCTEC connects with students, faculty, and staff from all colleges within Cornell by hosting town-hall style meetings discussing IP issues in relevant fields of expertise. These informal gatherings typically feature short educational presentations concerning intellectual property issues and Q&A sessions on the university technology transfer process and patenting issues.
