Reliable Time Delay-Constrained Cluster Computing License

This invention provides a framework for reliable, delay constrained cluster computing systems, in which a limited number of front end computers receive client requests, frame them to back end systems, and relay replies back to the clients. This framework addresses four aspects of building such clusters: a) providing bounded response time in the presence of failures, b) achieving high-throughput, c) scalability, and d) managing the cluster.

Potential Applications

  • Distributed or cluster computing systems

Advantages

  • Highly scalable
  • Greatly improved throughput
  • Bounded response time
