Cornell Inventors

We work with researchers to secure the proper intellectual property rights protection for their inventions, and by marketing and licensing their technologies to businesses.

CCTEC provides service at CCTEC's two offices in Ithaca and in Manhattan. CCTEC also support researchers at the Agricultural Experiment Station in Geneva, New York.

Open Communication

CCTEC strives for clear and open communication with Cornell researchers and a transparent technology transfer process.

So we can better support you, before you formally disclose your invention to CCTEC, we hope you will keep us informed of your research and publication goals. Early communication can ensure a better evaluation of your invention's market potential, and whether you need to file a patent application prior to publication to protect your intellectual property rights.

Events

CCTEC hosts a variety of events with and for Cornell inventors. From the IP&Pizza town-hall style meetings to discuss intellectual property and patenting issues to venture forums and technology expos, CCTEC events work to keep researchers informed on proper intellectual property, promote their work to industry, and make connections with venture capital.
